Although lavender is known in Provence, France and other Mediterranean regions, it has grown in popularity in recent years in Romania, coloring purple hectares of land. Known as nature’s purple gold, Lavender is well known for its strong scent, and its calming and antiseptic properties.

In Romania, Lavender has become increasingly popular in agriculture, being mostly used for the manufacture of essential oils and lavender perfumes, lavender products, but also for flower preservation. Lavender is appreciated for its beneficial effects on the skin and beauty.

Lavanda de Margina (Lavender of Margina)

Margina is a smal town located about 90 km from Timisoara. The lavender plantation in Margina is a small one cultivated by a young couple, another family business that started from curiosity and a hobby. They produce their own organic lavender products and put them up for sale. Manufacturers are proud of their products, Essential oil and Lavender water being the main products obtained by distilling and processing the flowers.

Lavender essential oil – is one of the most flexible essential oils. It is great for relaxing before bed. It has balancing properties that are perfect to ensure energizing and invigorating effects.

Lavender water – It is a hydrolate with a regenerating effect, soothing and tonic for the contour of the eyes and skin. It is perfect for people with sensitive skin.

Among young people, lavender is very popular and is due to the fact that people are eager to pose with fragrant flowers. This couple has made it available to everyone. Once in a while they organize “Lavender days” or “Lavender picnics” for a few days in the summer, offering tourists the beautiful lavander field. In the lavender field, there are special decorations suitable for photos, and people can fully appreciate this beautiful divine place and enjoy a unique experience where people can eat a traditional brunch at the edge of the forest, in such a relaxing and pleasant environment, with scent of Lavender flowers, capturing this through a few dream photos.

 Kind regards,
